Fact Or Myth Heater/radiator relationship!

I've heard that running the heater full boar can help cool the engine. Anyone know whether it is true or not?

yes... is it worth the discomfort... not really

it simply allows coolant to circulate through the heater core where it looses heat to the air being blown past it to make the inside of the car warmer

Its like an extra stage of cooling before going back to the engine for more heat. But, the ammount of help it gives is like using a desk fan to cool a gymnasium

Even if you had a couple blocks to go it wont help much,that temp gauge isnt lying when its pegged, i would walk.:shakehead
