Im looking at an 01' GTS. The car has no toyota or GTS logo on the back. I know for a fact its a GTS, but why would there be no logo, ive never seen one without logos on the back and i've been looking at tons of them. It doesnt appear that there ever was any logos on it at any time. The sales guy at the dealership said the original owner probably ordered it that way. I dont really care about the logos I was just concerned that maybe it had been wrecked. The carfax on it reports no wrecks, but who knows. Anyone know why they are missing? Might be a stupid question, but i'm trying to be overly cautious. Thanks

Its called de-badging. Sometimes used to make the car fancier, make people curious. Or in some cases, for racing, so nobody can do a quick identification. Just a theory though.

right I understand debadging, but the car was owed by some older guy who had it listed as company car, but just used it himself. Everythigns completely stock so I dont get the impression that someone spent the money to have them removed and then covered up.

There is no need to spend the money to remove them. You can easily remove them yourself. Just heat them up with a hair dryer or something of the sort, and use fising line to cut the glue from the car. Then use goo-gone or some other adhesive remover to get the remaining glue off. It will then look like there were never any badges there.
