Okay..
I bought a 1990 Cavalier Z24 about a week and ago and it was running fine. I just installed a new system (deck, sub, amp) and now it keeps stalling. You can start the car fine and it will idle. Once driving when you put in the clutch the car will stall if not giving it gas. This just started happening right after installing the new system, so I don't know if that might have something to do with it. No engine lights are on.
Anyone know what might be happening?
Thanks.

Probably just need to keep driving it to teach the car how to idle again. The disconnected battery cable would've wiped the computer. Park it and leave it idle for a bit, then just drive it around.
And, I mean, none of my cars were manual, but I have driven a few, and don't you need to give it gas when letting off the clutch to prevent stalling?

hey
if the installer hooked the power wire into your battery that may be your problem unhook wire and find another home for it that may solve your problem. it is causing an improper connection on that power treminal.
