Hi guys, just wanted to share with you my current project. The 500E was developed in conjuction with Porsche back in 1991. It has only been built for 4 years, with the top line E 500 Limited at the end of 1994. Equipped with a V8 engine and gearbox from the SL, bigger fender flares, bigger brakes from the SL and sport suspension tuning, etc.. which makes it a very unique sport sedan when it was first introduced.

the Base model is a 1/24 Revel Brabus 230e, squarish curbside with no engine, basic interior, etc... what i have done so far are fender flares, side lower door panels, scratch build front and rear bumpers, side skirts, re-styled the hood to the "face lifted" version where the front grill is "integrated" with the hood in one piece, and round off the corners of the front headlight. All parts in white are resin copies of scratch built/modified parts, as i will be doing an AMG wagon version later on..
Sorry for the essay and here are the pics, more pics will be added later on. Hope you guys like it and comments are welcome (good or bad ;))

Nice project! I can't want to see more because I have W124 but not E500.

Will be very hard work to let this crappy Revell-kit even look like any E-class.
Body shape is totally off. However, nice idea! Good luck!

I agree with Julian....it seems like it's in bad need of a top chop :shakehead
Not your fault of course...blame Revell!

Thanks for the friendly replies, a little update on the progress so far, the body has been painted with Tamiya semi gloss black and german grey with clear coat, which still needs to be polished. Next would be throw in the interior of a Fujimi 190E, since it is more "accurate" compare with the ones come with the Revell kit. More pics will be added later on and i will try to find a better camera :).

Very nice! The bodykit looks much more accurate, now that the car has been painted. The local Honda boys' 1:1 bodykits don't fit that well lol.
