95 Corolla worth it?

Someone has a 95 Corolla with 186,000 miles on it. They are asking $1500 for it which ain't to bad. But it does have some body damage and a rear corner window broken. But overall I would say its in fair condition.

I know Toyota's are suppose to be dependable as far as motors but how about transmissions? It is a automatic. Is this is a good buy or a bit of a risk taker? Anything I should look for when checking it out?
