revs at start

Hello fellow ls owners, first problem is the 2000 ls V8 revs to about 2000 rpms when started then drops to appr. 1600 rpms then to 1200 rpms before getting anywhere below 1000 rpms. the whole process takes appr. 1 min. does'nt make much difference if its a cold start or warm. second problem is whining noise from automatic transmission. any ideas ??

this is the normal startup- it has something to do with the emission system and the heated O2 sensors.
