93 grand am problem

Car will start and run but dies once you try to drive it, going to look at it over the weekend for a friend, any things you guys know of right off the bat to check first??
a fellow co-worker said that they had a similar problem and had to have the injectors cleaned ...$200
Sounds to me like it might be the fuel filter??/

Could be either fuel filter or the pump.
