Whistle/whine in the high revs

I have a 99 P71 with 103,000 miles. When i really get on the gas and the engine revs high, it starts to whistle/whine like a belt or pulley before it shifts. Its not the high pitched whine like a belt (at least not like belt squeal ive heard before) and I am wondering if its a bad pulley or if its driveline related. It runs really smooth but i do notice a little pulsing of power from the engine when its in overdive and im only goin about 50 or so, but it feels more like when a manual tranny is in too high a gear and lugging the motor. Any help is cool, thanks- Tyler Viher of TVCustoms

My 2003 P71 has the same tranny problem. Mine lugs under slight throttle when going up even the slightest hill in overdrive. Mine feels like the motor is bucking, or like driving over bumps. Anyway... I've just learned to live with it I guess. It doesn't really bother me anymore.
