I just have a question about biking ...
can i ride a motorcycle with glasses? is it more uncomfortable(leads to un safe).. should i get contacts???
and how much should i pay for a first bike..? do most people get rid of their first bike early on ??
and one more thing... how fast can a bike with either 125cc or 250 cc go???
cuz im thinking of getting a smaller bike for a first bike and i dont know if i can ride 600cc bike to begin with..

thanks a bunch

yes
depends on you and your helmet
yes but only because you have beautiful eyes!
$29.95 with bonus steak knives.
most people do but alot keep them
50 mph but you can do that on all bikes.

ok i'm an idiot.......

you can ride in glasses but your helmet must not interfere
contacts may dry out at least thats the problem my dad had.
first bike price depends on the bike and condition. you can get an absolutely thrashed 2003 for the same price as a mint 98. how longs a piece of string?

some people keep their first bike and some sell, depends on the person and the bike chosen. personally i went small and upgraded once i had learnt the basics.

top speed is again relevant to the bike. i'd say 100mph would be your top speed on the smaller 125's and 250's based on our CBR250RR topping out at 180kmh

I have worn glasses since the 8th grade (but I'm not wearing them during this post, so please forgive any/all typos... and it's 9am on a Saturday morning). That said, I wear glasses every time I ride. I tried the contacts thing, but between already having dry eyes, and needing special toric lenses for my astigmatism, I found riding in contacts to be wholly unenjoyable. Yes, you have to remove your "eyes", then put your helmet on, and THEN put your glasses back on, but to me, it's worth the hassle.

Paying on a first bike is entirely up to you. If you're talking 125s or 250s you will be able to find nice bikes for cheap, since many people do choose to sell after a year or two. They are GREAT little bikes, and I can't believe my godson's mom is selling her 250... I LOVED taking that lil thing out and spanking it through some turns!

As for top-speed on a "lil bike", I will simply say that they are fast enough to get you into trouble in NO TIME FLAT. ;)

I have worn glasses for 18 years until recently(Lasik). I ride with a full face helmet and had no problems. I ride sport bikes and my first bike was a 90 Honda CBR 600 and it had plenty of power and only paid 1500 dollars (Ran good No problems, Kind of Ugly). I kept it for a year and sold it to buy a 2003 honda CBR 600 F4I. Resale would be the only concern for me to Buy a 250cc bike. Speed on any bike won't be a problem....

Resale on 250s is magnificent. Short of people selling out of desperation (ie needing money in the winter) every person I know that bought a 250 sold it for at least as much as they paid for it.

All I am saying is that I believe that there is more of a market for the 600cc class... Not that the 250cc bikes won't sell for what their worth...
