Personally, I think that's a mistake. There may be times you want fog lights only and there may be times you want headlights only. Putting a switched fog light system in would give more flexability. So, with that said, doing it the way you want would take some electrical enginuity and some time studying electrical diagrams for your truck, not to mention, would the BCM accept the modification????????

I have some "electrical enginuity" and I would not wire it to the bcm would I just need to cut and splice??? do only thing im worryed about is the amp draw I live in the city and I just want to add more lighting to the existing system and i dont belive the flexability is needed... I have high beams for that

I thought about doing something similar: wiring a set of driving lights to come on with the high beams. I though I might be able to splice it into the high beam wire. Might work for you if you splice into the low beam wire, but I'm not too electically inclined, so I don't know if that would overload it or not.

Let me know if you try it.

here's what i would do. get a relay and wire the trigger to a power source that only comes on when the truck is in the on position, not the acc position. all you really need is the relay and some wire, a test light and some time. might i suggest the 8 light mod as well, i really like having all of my lights come on with my highs, i just wish i could make 6 of them stay on all the time(highs would go away for lows of course). i'm sure there is a way i just have not had enough time to figure it out... yet.

I agree that you should have it switched. I personally like having the control on whether or not the lights are on or off. Or just on by themselves.

However, If you want to add them to your High Beams it shouldn't be a problem just splice in to one of the Low beam headlight wires and your off to the races....
