hey..i just bought a g-tech pro SS..took it out for a couple of test runs in my 3000gt..got a few good runs in..mind you i have a 98 base model..with a few upgrades...anyways..it said i ran 14.61 @ 100.1 mph in the quarter mile..with 185 hp ( not sure if it goes off wheel horsepower or what ) and 198 ft. lbs of torque..they claim g-techs are fairly accurate..anyones opinion???

I have actually they are off a fair amount. That would have to be a fairly well built-up SOHC to hit a 14.6 ET. I mean that is about .5-.6 of a second off of what 1st gen TT's run without the boost mod.

100 mph traps are stock 1st gen vr-4 territory, i don't think an upgraded SOHC could even come close to that. You'd be closer to stock DOHC territory which they would trap around 90 or so.

How the hell is your car running a full 2 seconds faster than mine?

well ive never been to the tracks for real..plan on it this year though..well i have cat back borla exhaust..port and polished heads..cold air injen intake..and msd ignition upgrades..i plan on getting headers soon..well according to g-tech..i was doing 0-60 in 6.2 seconds..well the only way to test out the g-tech for real is go to the tracks..

It's not entirely accurate...but its consistant. So go to the track, run with it running, see the difference between actual and what it says, and subtract the difference everytime you use it.

ya your right..ive ran it about 10 times and its been fairly consistant if anything..i mean i hope its being accurate but i to was a lil amazed at the times..guess the only way to find out is to go to the tracks for real cuz i cant be running 100mph up these side streets much longer..lol..
