id perfer to get older for cheaper but if the newer ones with the 4.0 the 05's and up are better id rather go there

just woundering should i op for 05 and newer with the 4.0 or the older 3.4?

also automatic or stick, i have no issues with either but how is it in these trucks

like chevs id never go stick unless it was a s10 or something, but even like the dakota comparable size to the tacoma auto is better

thanks guys

Its going to be your truck, get out and drive them all. Pick the one you like.

well realisticly it makes no difference what moter it is...just some have reliablity issues...some just have plain old issues while some moters are prime

im just woundering what the scoop is on these two motors, like they prolly switched for a reason...

Man go buy a GM help them out for America's sake...

Soon there wont be any American car companies and the foreign companies will raise the prices...

There are no reliablility issues. The 4.0 requires high octane gas due to its 10:1 compression ratio. They get similar mileage. The 05+ are damn near full size trucks, while the older models are midsize.

That's funny considering GMs are assembeled in Mexico, while Toyotas are assembeled in the US. These days there is no such thing as an "American" car company. They are all large multinational corporations.

well i wont comment on the domestic thing, just cause thats a waste of time...id perfer an import this time around though i was considering the dakota...hit and miss reliabilty was an issue for me though

I perfer the older style tacoma the midsize style...if i wanted a full sized truck id get a tundra hehe

the 4.0 was given a 0 - 60 time of inbetween 7 - 8 secounds, which is exactly what i was aiming for, though at the price of higher octane gas

whats the comparable 0 - 60 with the 3.4 style engine, 4x4 access cab style

and last thing which was the better year of the 3.4 style tacoma, last year
04?
