:( I was wondering if I can get some input about my rex. I would like to swap the engine from my crx. I found an Acura gs 1989 with 72k mi none-vtec 5 speed. My questions are: How many hp does this engine have? Do I need to get the tranny, ecu, and wire harnes out of the acura? How about the axels?. I don't have the money to do a b16. The guy from the junk yard will sell me everything for $250. Will I need a new mounting kit for this engine? Any input you have would be apreciated.

the 89 teg is the d16a1. It does not bolt in, you have to reweld one of the spots where the mount goes. IT has 118 hp. Personally if you want to do that engine go for a ZC, Has 130 hp and does bolt in. Or you can even go the SOHC Vtec d16z6 or d16y8

if 88civic_dx wasnt clear enough, dont get this motor, it does not bolt up and they dont make a bolt in kit for it. i would sohc vtec, sohc vtec will bolt right in and you can use your stock tranny. well that kinda depends on what year your crx is, something about the 88's and the spline number or soemthing like that. b series you need.

well the 89 integra has the d16a1 motor witch is basicly a 1.6 dohc. so it is just like the zc. i never herd of it never bolting in, or welding something but all u need is the 86-89 integra ecu i think your stock one will work even. and i believe it has a baseline hp of 130, est. at the crank. but im not for certain.

Its a version of the ZC but not the 130 hp one. Its only 118hp and doesnt bolt in like the 130 hp would.
