2005 malibu odometer problem!!!!

I have a 2005 chevy malibu , I had isntalled a 10" subwoofer box in my car...after we plug the batery again the miliage reader (not the one in the radio) the odometer went from 27,458 miles to ZERO.....What can be the cause of this & what can I do .....I really need help it could afect my waranty.......:banghead:

Just unplug the battery every time you get close to running the warranty out.

Really though my guess would be that you zeroed the tripometer. Not to sound like captain obvious. If the display was set to show the tripometer when you got it and you never toggled over to the odometer it's possible to overlook.

THe tripmometor is in the radio not in the speedometor...and there's no button for that in the speedometor...
