Im upgrading the old stock paper speakers in my 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT. The speaker dimensions must be Front dash- Any 4"x10" fit. Rear Side Panels - Any 4"x6", 1.75" or shallower with tweeter 0.25" or less in height. Im willing to spend around $100-$300 for the 4 speakers. What speakers would you recommend I go with? Im looking for decent to higher end speakers. I currently have this head unit installed. http://www.roadmasterusa.com/manuals/vrcd400usb_eng.pdf Im also planning on later putting a subwoofer behind the driver seat and an amp for it behind the passenger seat. Because its a small car I have limited space for this so I was hoping you guys could recommend a compact system that will put out some decent sound for me.The dimensions are Sub-Box Behind Seat - 18" Width, 24" Height, 4" Depth (seat fully back). Im prolly only going to put 1 ten inch subwoofer behind the seat. It should be plenty for what I need it for. BTW the majority of music I listen too is rock and metal... though I do listen to quite a bit of everything. Thanks!

for the front dash, you can use 4" mid and tweet or coaxes then make a mounting plate to cover the rest of the hole. I wouldn't put anything in the rear, but if you have to you could probalby squeeze a 5 1/4" shallow mount coaxial and make another plate to cover the hole. As for the subs, I have an 8" sub glassed into each front door. They take up no real passenger space, and because they don't really need a lot of power - maybe 100-150 watts per speaker, you can get a good 4 channel amp to run the whole system.
