I havent seen a thread on this, and i didn't see it in the faq, so if im wrong, point me in the right direction. So, i kno the defroster vents on these cars are crap, but ive looked at a few pics of cars on some sites and i sall some ppl had mesh and what not covering em, so i was looking for some ideas on a stylish alternative do cover these. if anyone would send me pics/plans, and suggestions, it would be greatly apprecieated. Thanx alot guys, you've been really helpful so far, Ryan

Basically you can either get stock replacements or aluminum replacements. Stock replacements will run you around $45 plus shipping from mitsupartsdirect and the aluminum replacements will run you around $100 to $130 depending on the vender. You can generally get the aluminum ones in a silver or black. I know 3SX and Maximal Performance both sell them.

You have to take the dash out. The screws to get the OEM ones out are underneath.

I would love to see anyone pull the dash out, all the a/c duct work attached to the dash out, replace the vents, put all the a/c duct work back, and put the dash back in . . . in 2 hours. I'd be very impressed to see that. It takes me at least an hour and a half alone just to pull the dash.

There are plenty of guides out there if you need help. PM me if you would like some. It'll take some time to do the whole project but it would be worth it in the end. It's somthing I would do if I had a stealth.:frown:

Yep. Took me about 2 hours to pull the dash on my VR4 parts car I had.
