2001 up reliability question=

looking to buy a 2001,02,03,04 taurus. probly gonna have high mileage for the price i got to spend. is there any specific model such as "SE" ,etc. that last the best or are they all about the same? how many miles do you usually get outta the transmission if it,s been serviced on schedule? i,ll keep you guys posted . thanks.

I have a 98 with 115K with a 3.0 Vulcan engine. I have had very good service from this car, never had a major problems. Just normal wear and tear items such as brakes, rotors, oil changes, 1 tuen-up and 2 trans fluid changes. I am looking into buying a 2005 or 2006 in the next year as I am very satisifed with this one.

As far as models go LX<SE<SES<SEL , LX being lowest. Reliability is good. 96-07 Taurus is pretty much the same car, so when something does go wrong it is a cheap fix.
