Get some anti-sway brs before you get strut tower bars. Those are more for fine tuning and are more of a visual upgrade if anything.

No, not really. The front strut tower bar cleans up the front end leaps and bounds. That was the first one I added and felt the car get alot better handleing then nothing and then everything else raised the bar the more that went on. After doing front rear towers and the sways my pos handles great. So the front tower is a good start but everything is a must.

As for name brands...yeah, not that important. I know some guys that got the plans off the org for the home depot setups and they dont noticed a difference between the home mades and the name brands.

i'm not in 100% agreement with you there cody, however, strut bars don't work as good as they could. the reason for a strut brace is to brace the top of the strut towers that flop around under hard cornering, the problem with a strut bar is you are tying one floppy strut tower to the other/ for best results tying into the firewall aswell will stiffen them up real good. but they will do something.

Totally agree. If they made some kind of cross brace to go from upper portion of the strut tower to the lower end of the wall that would be best. Same way we brace off walls at work.

i plan on fabbin something and just welding a plate to the firewall and bracing off that. not sure whether to do the ikea brace on the rear seat though

Could have sworn I saw a site that sold a brace that went right above the back top of the rear seats. Dont see the point of that one considering its a drools length away from the rear tower brace point.

I say go to a junkyard n look for a cav or a fire convertable n get the strut bar off one of them thats what i did and there is brackets on them to bolt it to the firewall i never did bolt mine to the firewall tho cause there was no holes

I painted mine silver and red it looks so much better than just the black, I should have grinded the brackets to bolt to the firewall off but was too lazy

Are you sure about that? The cheaper the price, the cheaper the material = they'll flex and bend when you turn anyway = Not helping at all.
