wiring through firewall

I am trying to power an amplifier in my recently purchased 97 Pathinder and I am looking for some advise on getting through the firewall. Any suggestions?

if you pop your hood then look by the driver side there is this metal peaice that has 2 holes with bolts.. if you un bolt it it has a hole.. then you can feed your wire though it into the cab up behind the fuse assembly .. then jus run the wires down the doors and into the trunk space.. worked perfect.. if i had a digital camra i could show ya how i did it.. looks pretty clean cant see no wires ...
