90 V-6 Firebird stalling

Yesterday, was driving it and it stalled out...It would start like it wanted to turn over but did not.
Hello tow truck.

Ex swung by today to look at it and the thing(aka my 2nd baby) started.
Drove it a couple miles to auto zone to get fuel injector cleaner,
& waxed it.
Got in it later to drive and wouldn't start again.:shakehead
Ex claims fuel pump is working...figures it may be vapor lock or bad gas?
He self-admittedly isn't any good when it comes to fuel injected cars.

ummm..if you dont have a fuel pressure gauge go look for where you're sppose to connect it. press the little button..and fuel should squirt out at you.

if it does, you've just narrowed it down to spark plugs or injectors/injector signals.

im gonna go on a hunch and say you need a new ign. coil. pull a wire off, and stick it on a spark plug. see if it fires a blue/white spark. if it doesnt..its the ignition coil or rotor or dist. cap...(prolly)

Just went out and tried to start it again and it fired up...
Damn frustrating.

check the fuel pressure, if the pressure isnt up to normal then it's your fuel pump not keeping up... when they go out they tend to work when they want to and not push fuel as much as they used to....

another kind of simple thing u could do is... when the car stalls out... pull a plug and see if it's wet or dry... wet ='s ignition problem ... dry ='s fuel problem

It's been awhile but still have same issue only now it cranks and never runs. Can you say F--- me running?:banghead:

Heres what has been replaced:

ALL NEW

-bosch plat.4 plugs and wires

-ignition module

-coil

-rotor

-distributor cap

Fuel pressure test puts it at 40lbs so considering that my fuel pump should be fine. Electronic scan picked up no probs other than 02 sensor. Prior to all my problems she idled high btw.
Anymore ideas?

i deno if it does or not but it'll be checked.

yeah. bosch plugs are crap, will never buy em again imo..

and.. i have anther hunch, this time before changing it check it..

ok, youre getting fuel, youre supposedlky getting sparks.. the only thing it can be is that youre not getting fuel/ not enough fuel/ into the cylinder.. i think.

try use starting fluid to crank her up. if it starts.. your injectors arent firing..

ive had some experiences where when people used injector cleaners on old cars with lots of deposits in em, the car injectors would actually get plugged and not let the car start..

im not sure if its the injectors not firing..or the injectors staying open..

(too much gas wont start the car eithier)..

its odd that youre not even getting a sputter tho.

Bosch platinums were ok when they first debuted. Since then, the quality has gone out the back door and then they throw these gimmick multiple tip plugs 'guarenteed to set a mosquito's ass on fire before it lands on your dog' :bs:

All Bosch plugs now cause nothing but misfire problems.

Stick with the good 'ol Ac/Delco's listed on your emissions decal. :thumbsup:

This was the intial problem and after a few hours I could go out and it would start up again 'till it decided to stall......

I replaced all said parts...since then it wants to start but never does. Where as before a few hours after stalling it would turn over and start till it stalled
again.

so its firing.. but not idling? as in you can hear your engine sputter compared to just the starter motor spinning?

did you ever get your injectors swapped? it almost sounds as tho the injectors are stuck semi-open, more then closed?..flooding the cylinder or something..
