I wreck my car at 1:00 am this morning, when I was turning into yellow light, I dont know what going on now. all I knew that I came to that woment call and help her out off the car, she choking alot. the police get my info and insurance. he told me that the tow truck will come get the car and I need some body take me home, and I did call my friend to take me home, what should I do now ? my parent dint knew about that.

Hopefully everyone turns out ok and your car is salvagable. If not, there are always more cars out there. Keep your head up..

Hi every one I just got back after a long day chill with my gf and kid ( she calm me down alot by saying alot of thing that make me not worried so much ). Thanks for every one common. You guy really the best friend I had in on Automotive Forums :wink: . Here is the story.

Its saturday night, it mean their is alot of thing to do. I come pick up my gf to go to car spot ( where all the people meet up and go race ). I meet alot old friend, I show them that I fix the front from the first accident. one of the guy told me " dam dude you still own this car ". after a while around 11: 30pm ( my gf actually my babe mom, and I want a special time for her ( mother day ). We left the car spots and head to liquior store to get some wines. on a quiet busy road I down shift to second, and make a turn left thru the yellow light. BAM I HIT THE LADY THAT RAN THRU THE YELLOW LIGHT TOO on her front wheel, and knock her off the road. I swear that I dint saw her coming, if I saw her coming I already stop at the yellow light. I ask my gf if she ok, she was ok, my passenger side door dint open all the way, I jump out and quick ran to that lady I just hit, SHE COUGH ALOT BECAUSE THE AIR BAG SMOKE, SHE COULD GET OUT THE CAR, THE DRIVER DOOR IS STUCK, I pull it out and pull her 300lb body off the car, she still cought alot, I help her call her parent, cause she could not dial the number. I call the insurance and report ( I only buy life ability cover ). cops show up and get my driver licent and insurance card, ask me what happent ?, I told them that wat going on. they ask for my add and phone number, after that one of the cop told me that the tow truck will be here and tow the car ( I dont care about the car that time that I ask for flat bed, i dint ask for flat bed that time, any way fuck the car for now ). he ask if I got any body come pick me up, I told them yes " about 20min later, friend of mind show up and take us home. WHEN I GOT HOME HE ASK ME THAT IS THE COPS GIVE U THE REPORT :banghead: . I dint knew any thing about that, I just left the dam scence with out get the report paper, I call the police department they gave me some number, that I need that number to get the report. I cant sleep all night yesterday. worried about what should I do ? or what cop gonna do to me ? im i fault or the women fault ? should I tell my dad ? exp...... I did call my gf and ask her if she is feeling ok.
today I did have a talk with my dad, and he seem to help me alot without yelling loud at me. For now I cant go work... just have to live day by day until this situation is is over.:frown:. but tomorrow I will go down to police department and get the report and find out where they taking my car. in the future I properly looking for something else beside dsm's.:frown:

Something I don't get though...you were both going through a yellow light? How is that possible? Only one direction of traffic gets a yellow, otherwise the other direction has red until the yellow light turns to red, then the other direction gets green. I'm a little confused but I get most of it. Sounds like if you hit her, the fault is going to fall on you man. Sorry to hear it.

Now since it is yellow, the first driver in the left turn yield lane has right of way and oncoming traffic should stop. Oncomming traffic does have right of way while green, but once yellow they should stop (most assholes don't know that and thus this happens.).

Therefore it should be her fault. however, it will most likely be found as both fault (mostly because unless there are traffic camera's there is NO way to find out who was actually at fault since both of your stories won't match, unless she admits she did wrong.)

at least that is how #106 met it's demise, and it seems to be the worst thing ever to happen to dsm's though fairly common.

TODAY MY EX WAS TAKE ME TO PICK UP MY CAR. AND SOME IDIOT WOMEN MAKE A U TURN AND HIT MY EX DRIVER SIDE ( 2003 VW NEW BETTLE TURBO ). AND FUCKING BACK UP AND RAN AWAY, WE GOT HER TAG AND REPORT TO THE POLICE. WTF IS GOING ON TO ME 2 CAR CRASH IN UNDER A WEEK !!! . the guy at the tow car place offer my car for 1k. the car is very old already, an I think it can be fix with 3-5k, should I let it go for 1k ? thanks

But techanically wouldn't it be the person turning lefts fault?? Because when you are turning left you must yield to the on comming traffic. But because the light is yellow doesn't mean the oncomming traffic going straight HAS to stop. Thats only if the light is red, then the must stop. If the light is red and you are in the middle of the intersection you can proceed to make the left hand turn. But if the light is yellow you still have to yield to the oncomming traffic. I in my opinion Killa is probably at fault but I'm not 100% positive. Thats what makes sense to me anyway.

I second that. Just because the light turns yellow doesn't mean the on comming traffic HAS to stop to let the people turning left go. It just means to proceed with caution (or for most people floor it before it turns red! (you know you have too) lol). I have never seen someone yield to me when I am making a left hand turn and the light is yellow. The only time they stop is if they are a decent ways away from the light and can't make it before it turns red. Once the lights turns red, then i can proceed to take the turn because by then I'm in the intercection.

yeah i agree on this one, this one day i was trying to turn left and a cop was directin trafic so decided to not enter the intersection untill clear but the cop told me to aproach and the light turned yellow, nobody stoped so i turned left on red but i was already in the intersection, and i've been doing that since then.

So basically if the intersection is clear and the light is yellow, a driver turning left has right of way over any car approaching.
