window problems!

Hi everyone. I drive a 2000 GMC Safari and I've been having a couple problems around the windows. First, the driver side window motor has this knack of working properly to lower the window, then it just slows down and eventually stops working when trying to raise the window, leaving the window open. This has been remedied in the past by just waiting 10 minutes and the motor works fine again. Next, I have this problem that the top portion of the rear dutch door will jam shut when you close it. I would push the button to open it, and hear the mechanism release, but the door remains jammed shut. Any help on either of the two matters is very much appreciated!! Thanks!

The driver window has what's called the "express down" feature. Hold the "down" switch for 1/2 second and the window will go all the way down. When it's all the way down, you'll hear a slight click sound, that is a circuit breaker opening the circuit. If the window binds in the track, the circuit breaker will open and the window will not work until the circuit breaker re-sets. Lube the window tracks and it should work ok. The dutch door may need lubrication also.

The Master is correct - Start by lubricating the hinges, latches, pivot points, body seals and side door guides just like you have every year as part of the scheduled annual maintenance. All the necessary lubricants are indicated in the owner's manual, but you already know that since you've done for the last six years.

I think it could be the window motor, I had a sunfire that did the same thing, I waited five or ten minutes and the window would work again.
I replaced the window motor and it was fine after that.
The dealer wanted 300 dollars to replace the motor but I bought one at auto zone for fifty dollars and replaced it in less than two hours.
