Spark Plugg problem

Hey guys, i recently did a tune up with my friend/mechanic and we found out that one of the spark pluggs was not fitted in correctly so now its stuck. my friend recommended not to force it out because it would ruin the entry and putting in another spark plugg would be impossible. now im stuck on what to do, have a mechanic re-do the entry or buy a new top part of where the spark pluggs go.( sorry about not knowing what the parts are called guys). so pretty much it's running on 4 cylinders with only 3 sparks pluggs right? would this be bad if not taken care of immidiately?

you could go out and get a valve cover ("top part of where the spark plugs go") from a junk yard if you can find it. that is my easy way out...
and i wouldnt start it up if you only have 3 cylinders sparking.

The valve cover isn't going to make a difference. The spark plugs go directly into the head. I always took the cover off when I changed plugs because the damn ratchet extension wouldn't reach all the way in the hole.

Take the valve cover off and you may be able to visually inspect it a little better. But basically you need to get the plug out. I'm sure somebody can chime in with a solution...

Valve cover doesnt have jack to do with this guys problem. His plug is stuck in the head. Did you try sticking a SP socket on with an extension and preferably a long wrench or did you just one of those tiny SP wrenches? Try it with a longer wrench, maybe even spray some PB blaster in the hole beforehand. Give the wrench a smack, remember impact busts nuts open not just pushing hard on it.

If it wont come out, then your only option is to take the head off. So was the old plug bad, can't you just drive with plug remaining stuck in there? If its a d15, screw the tune up, leave the old plug in there and dont waste your time taking off the head. This should teach everyone to use anti-sieze on their damn spark plugs.

spend the $1.19 and buy a pack (or 2) and save yourself this trouble. its a freakin dollar. thats less then a soda.

and yea, if u don't have to change it, leave it in there. if u get it out and its striped, then youll have to retap it........not fun.

Yea, the valve cover has nothing to do with it and taking it off won't help you see the problem. Try what CRXperiment said, and if it is a 1.5, just put your wire back on it and go. If its not a 1.5 and your determined to get it fixed, you will have to get the plug out one way or another and they have Heali-coils(sp?) that will fit in the hole where the spark plug was and rethread it for you, I just think you have to get a different sized plug for that one...don't know, never had to resort to them.

I have never used the anti-seize and never will, loose spark plugs aren't good and I have had them come loose on me....was the first time I changed my own spark plugs and didn't snug them up enough. But I still won't use anti-seize, never had a problem with any of mine.
