Here's one for ya: I have a 99 Z71 (old body style) with the 5.7. It has been in the shop twice now for the brakes. The first time they replaced the pads all around and the rotors in the front. Second time in they replaced the calipers in the front and the pads again. Here is the problem, once the brakes get good and warmed up they squeal like hell, mainly from the front. This started about 2 months ago. Of course, it just keeps gettin' worse and worse. Now here is a new one. Once i stop and then start to go again after the brakes are warmed up, i can hear them kinda "chirpin" like the rotors are warped...but my foots not on the brake pedal. Or i guess you could say it sounds like the calipers are not releasing. Would this be somethin like the master cylinder or the booster or maybe the bearings? Any ideas would be great cause this thing is drivin' me nuts!!! :banghead:

You may have the front rubber brake lines collapsing internally, and keepng some pressure on the calipers.

What type of brake pads were used? I've noticed that with cheaper brands of brake pads there is a higher metal content in the material. This can create all kinds of noises. Also, if the new rotors did not have nondirectional swirls in them when installed this could could cause noises. Pads brake in better and glazing is reduced when nondirectional swirls are machined into new or resurfaced rotors. Sometimes brake rotors can become glazed due to different driving conditions.
