how long does anyone think it takes to build a chrome moly chassis?? thanks in advance for your replys, thoughts and comments.

that depends on the complexity and design of it.

You really have to know your stuff with regard to welding chrome moly tubing. The better choice might be something like a mild steel tubing, either DOM (drawn over mandrel) or RWS (resistance welded seam) which are more forgiving and are easier to work with and are cheaper than chrome moly tubing.
I've done a lot of welding on stock cars using mild steel tubing, anything from just adding a roll cage to chassis bracing and repairs. It also takes a lot of equipment, garage space and is time consuming. If I ever get into another race car, I'm going to buy a chassis and cage that are already complete.
