Check for a low pressure switch on accumulator, they seem to go bad pretty often. You can check to see if switch is bad by unplugging the wire connector to the switch and jump the terminals in the connector.

Well I took a break from shooting those damn pigeons and tried jumping the connector on the low pressure switch, and all be damn that was it. Thanx alot, do you know how much a new sensor cost?

They are not very expensive. Seems like the last one I bought was under $10, but that was a couple of years ago

Just looked online at O'Reilly's $10.50 and Auto Zone $13.50. O'Reilly's calls it a low pressure switch and Auto Zone calls it a clutch cycling switch.

alright i will have to go pick one up sometime soon. i ran it for a little while with the connector jumped and it doesnt get very cool so maybe something else is fudged up too.

If it isn't cooling then it has lost the freon.
That would be why the low pressure switch is not allowing the compressor to run. Switch is probably good.
I understand if the freon is low or gone, the oil isn't being circulated and the compressor can seize up.

Bob is right on, you need to get the charge checked with gauges. If the charge is too low then then low pressure switch is doing its job.
