02 Suburban A/C noise

A few months back I started hearing a noise during acceleration. I noticed the noise only happened when the A/C was running, I was told the pulley tensioner was bad by a Dealership so I replaced it. The noise was still there after replacement. So I took it back to the dealer and this time I was told it was the A/C compressor and it would be $1800.00 to replace. I bought a rebuilt GM compressor had the system evacuated and replaced it, however I did find that the high pressure censer on the back of the old compressor was melted so I replaced it as will. I had the system charged and the noise is still there. I have also replaced the belt thinking it was slipping but thats not the problem either. Is there anything else I can check?

Can you hear the noise after you are up to running speed on the road or sitting still and giving it a little gas?
Could you be hearing the rad fan when it kicks in?
Is the noise a roar or knock or squealing or rattling?

You can hear it taking off from a stop or a slower speed, but with road noise it's hard to hear after getting up to speed. I got down in front of it and had my wife give it a little gas in park and you can tell that it's coming from either the tensioner or the A/C compressor area. But however I then had her turn the A/C off and give it some gas and the noise is gone. It's hard to explain the noise itself, it's like a real fast low sounding rattle.

You might put a big long listing bar or pipe or stephscope on it and see if you can pinpoint the noise.
Or maybe run it by a good repair shop and have a trained ear listen to it.
If it is in the ac compressor check http://www.autoacforum.com/
Dis you get the proper amount of AC compresser oil and R-134a in the system?
Did the rebuilt compresser have a 10 0z. oil charge in it or was it dry?
If you have a ac low and high side pressure gauge set post back the low and high pressure reading at idel and at 2000 rpm with ac on.
