Well since the cam sensor is a $8 part, I'm assuming the VCT solinoid is actually what is not doing its job. The VCT soloniod is about $350 and seems more in the ballpark. Does it to stall at idle and have a mind of its own throughout the powerband? If it does unplug the cam position sensor it will run "close" to normal. You will lose about 20 hp and about 5mpg.

Thanks for the input. Should I repalce the $8.00 cam sensor first and see
if that fixes the problem? I was wondering what might happen if I just disconnected the feed.
Thanks
Terry
