odb 2 code p0480

Greetings...newbie here!
I have an '04.
the problem started in feb. when i got stuck in a snow/iced parking spot. took me an hour to get it out. anyway, my check engine light came on.
a friend lent me his ODB 2 and i got the code 0480. i know what it means.
my question is: where is the cooling fan 1 control circuit and is this something i can fix or do i have to go to the shop? i'm not a complete ditz when it comes to basic car stuff...i had a '73 VW superbeetle for 28 years!
my state requires emissions testing and i think this might make my car fail.
a diagram of the engine and stuff would help.:banghead:

i just got the same problem as you, did you got it fix. if yes is it something that can be fix without going to the garage.
