well not really. i sorta like math. i just hate my fuckin math teacher!! she should even be called a teacher!! that dumb bitch is gonna keep me out of good colleges, by making me fail!!:mad::mad:
Fuck no, ill break the fucking rules as much as i need to get the GOOD math teacher!! i actaully want to LEARN this...and its not happening right now. If resorting to my dad in his VERY weak english, and my VERY bad polish, is the case, than this teacher really sucks...:flipa:
im so pissed. i cant let her screw up my senior year like this. :(

I"m actually a math major planning on teaching High school pre-calc-esque subjects, and I kinda like math. Got any specific gripes? I might be smart enough to help even though I'm only in Calc 1.

I wish that I was better in Math, Right now I'm just in Gr. 11 Univeristy Math so, You're probably having more difficulty than I. I don't hate it but, I don't like it either so I take the hardest one and usually pull about an 85, I hoping for 90+ this year.

Heres some tips if your gonna be a math teacher:
First, EXPLAIN! the material. Even if its a review. Some people dont retain stuff that well. And explain it well. Give plenty of your OWN notes so that the kids can understand it. MY math teacher thinks that writing a few problems on the boards, solving them (and making mistakes often) is teaching..its not.
Homework. I believe that homework helps, but not to overdo it. If the kids generally understand the homework, dont assign as much as normal, just make it a variaety. If they are having a hard time, give them a little more, so that they can practice. But dont overdo it (i have 60+ problems a night) becuse that just pisses them off, and they wont do it anyway.
Extra help: If a kid needs extra help, give it to them. Dont make them sit into your other classes and go over the same shit you just went over. (guess what MY math teacher does?)
Tests: if you have a test scheduled, and you have a review scheduled for the day before, actaully REVIEW the material, basically quickly re-explaining stuff to them. Going over a few examples inst review.
Today, my math teacher didnt even show up to school (she had a head on collision with a police officer.....hehe) but she is still having the test tomorrow.
Finally: dont be a dick. If you are uber strickt, pick on people in a mean way, yell, or give shit, the kids will give up on you. It may be hard sometimes not to be an asshole to the kids who are being assholes to you, but you just gotta deal with that sometimes.
Any other advice?

You are not going to be a Scientist then Gan$tarr :D I actually sort hate Math but My teacher is great, he's there every moring at 7:30 (School Starts at 9:00) and he's always helful which is good cause I'm one of those people who can learn anything given time and practice, It takes me a bit longer to work out problems but I can usually manage quite well. My downfall is tests and exams, I had an 84 last before the Exam, I got a 58 on the exam and finished with a horrid 78.

Sprichst du Deutsch? Oder kennst du nur ein Sprach?
Yeah, I've had a number of Asshole teachers.... I plan to take their jobs. :evillaugh: If I am able to follow all the way through with this plan, I will be an awesome teacher. Granted, it will naturally take some time to settle in and find something that fully works for me, but I will TEACH my students. My calc 1 prof is one of those damn "show them every possible example and they'll learn" types. Fortunately, I can learn that way, so I'm okay, but I know from helping others that most people don't do well in such a manner. Check ya later... :)

I'm guessing the first part is "Can you Speak German" and the second part might be "Or how about French" but I'm probably wrong.

Actually, it was intended to be read "can you speak German?" and "Or do you only speak one language" (under my assumption that English was the primary language).
In reguards to the "why would you want to be a teacher?" True, it is a missionary job, but I like teaching/helping people. Maybe people will wake up and realize that w/o an education, they amount to crap, and therefore teachers will make more $!!! :)

Reminds me of my normal quote I used in my signature.
"I was in Nashville, Tennesee last year, after the show I went to a Waffle House, I'm not proud of it, I was hungry. And I'm alone, I'm eating and I'm reading a book, right? Waitress walks over to me, "Tch tch tch tch. Hey, what you readin' for?" Is that like the weirdest fucking question you've ever heard? Not what am I reading, but what am I reading for. Well, godammit, you stumped me. Why do I read? Well... hmmm... I guess I read for a lot of reasons, and the main one is so I don't end up being a fucking waffle waitress." - Bill Hicks
