question bout motor swaps

i just bought a plymouth laser and it had a swap done to it with a 2.0 turbo but i need to know a few thing how can i tell what gen motor was putt in it,is it possible for a 2gen motor to fit in a 1gen,i ask cuz my 91 laser motor looks differant then my friends 91 laser motor but there both turbo

It wouldnt make sense for someone to put in a 2G motor...it should still be a motor from a 1G. What looks differant about it?
