96 Cavalier takes average 50 seconds to start

1996 Cavalier LS 2.4L twin cam,automatic, 116,000 miles.
It takes me an average of 50 seconds each time I start it, cold or hot. When I turn for ignition, it produces only some electrical sound (probably the starter). I have to hold the key down and wait 35 seconds for the some intermittent click/crank from the engine. After some click/crank struggle, it will finally start.
It runs fine after the start, even after the ETS and Engine Check light comes on today.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Got a OBDII code: P0335 crankshaft Position Sensor, a circuit malfunction

Anybody know where this sensor is in the 96 Cavalier LS 2.4L
twin Cam, automatic?

Lol yea, a bad Crank shaft sensor will cause those issues.

it's near the crank

With the help of the diadgram, I was able to locate the sensor. It's above and a little bit behind the oil filter. The problem is that it is surrounded by all kind of stuff. I can barely get my hand and the wrench in. The worst is that there is this 5" diameter cylinder thing that has this little nipple that is right in front of the sensor bolt. I tried 3 hours and failed to get it out.
I am totally exhausted. Anybody has any ideas.

cant a bad fuel pump do that too?
