I figured darwinism would have taken it's toll by now.

What speed did you go from and to? Either he was a bad driver or your car is faster than you thought lol. A stock SL 5-spd with a good driver will do the quarter mile in mid to low 15's, but im pretty sure you know that already. Your just lucky you didnt beat him because posting a 3/S kill is a bannable affence:icon16:

By "Hung with an SL" do you mean..."He pulled in first, second, and third but I didn't fall behind too quickly"?? Because surely...I bet that's what happened.

Because truthfully speaking, my father owned 2 SL's (5 spd). At the time I owned my Civic (I/H/E/Cams/Pulleys/CGears) I was only able to keep up by 4-5 carlenghts by 4th gear.

If I remember correctly, you only have I/H/E...that's it. You drive a 4 door Corolla (heavier than the Civ), with roughly the same hp stock, and only a few basic bolt ons. So please, elaborate on this little tale of how you "Hung with an SL". Please, I really want to hear it. And I'm sure everyone else would too.
