I am going to replace the Crankshaft Position sensor on my 1997 Park Ave. My question for the board is regading installation of the new sensor - Is the new sensor simply bolted in place - or is there some type of alignment needed? I also understand the balancer has to be removed. Any comments on this are appreciated - thanks

Do you know if the balancer is a press fit on the crankshaft like an older small block chevy or does it slide off easily after the bolt is removed? thanks

Yes, it is a press fit and you will need a puller simlar to one shown in the link: Click Here (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=37824)

BTW, it helps to have a harmonic balancer installer, when you put it back on!
