I'm having a problem with the highbeams on our 03 grand am. If I turn on the high beam the drivers side headlamp goes out completely but the highbeam on the passenger side works fine. When i turn the highbeam off, both headlamps work normally. I swapped the bulbs and the problem stayed consistent which leads me to believe there is a module problem. I took the steering column apart to get access to the turn signal/ headlamp control module, my problem is that I do not have any information on the pin outs for this unit. Does anyone have information on this module or suggest another possible cause to the problem?

Welcome to AF.
Yes check the fuses' and relays for your headlamps first.
It could be the multi function switch(MFS).
Though thier's ground wires for the headlights grounded to the body, which could also cause simular problems.
So check the wiring , especially on the side thats fauling up.
