Where to find a single piston ring

So I was assembling the short block the other day and had an unfortunate event. I broke one of the small oil piston rings. I cant find anywhere that I can buy just a single ring or single piston rings. I have the stock 2G pistons .020 oversized. If anyone could help point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I dont want to spend the $135 for a whole new set of rings when I only need the one.

I don't think you can buy single piston rings, you have to get them as a set.

He isn't looking for a stock one. He needs one thats bored .020 over IIRC...
Hey, ya know what I just thought of... I actually might have an extra set in my rebuild kit that I didn't use! I'll check it out tomorrow morning and text ya and let ya know if I got one for ya or not.

First off I don't get how you broke a piston ring, they're hard to even bend, none-the-less break. And how in the world do you have an extra piston ring laying around? Unless they messed up and sent you too many, you shouldn't have extras, Brian. :p

lol I had the ones that came in my rebuild kit and then the ones that came with my new pistons, so I used the ones that came with the pistons... I think the ones in my rebuild kit are .020 over cause I think it asked me what size when I ordered it...

Yeah Brian let me know man that would be awesome if you could hook that up....
As for how I broke the ring...I was putting it together with a friend of mine...he was holding the ring compressor on the piston and holding it in the block..and I had the hammer to push it in...I went to hit it in and for some reason a part of the compressor got caught on the cylinder wall and broke part of the compressor off and the small bottom oil ring got caught ont he wall as well and a decent size chunk came off....Needless to say I was pretty burnt...especially when I found out I couldnt buy just one...the only thing I could find was a single piston set from either Ross or Wiesco...but I dont know if they are the same size or not...

Okay, that's a little more understandable. I was thinking you broke it when you put the rings onto the pistons. You should also check the cylinder to make sure you didn't fuck up the edge where you broke the ring.
