need help - engine wiring Jaguar V12

Hi guys,

I need your help for my Jaguar XJS project. The Hasegawa engine has such a nice distributor and I want to wire it (after drilling 13 holes in that tiny piece).

Does anybody know where the spark plug cables go? I searched everywhere, but to no avail. All the pictures I came up with have such a clutter of cables in the engine compartment that the distributor is hidden and out of sight :frown:

Thank you in advance!

Cheers
Sebastian

Sebastian, I found this (http://www.jag-lovers.org/include/iv3.php3?zx=SdADyw4IiM8ED8ZK%2FZfkxwPODgKan80KzAcY tq2j3L1HN6OXvET8PwvO2gpCvAwPi5jc98kfRd3dxDz4QPvS1Q w3CUz81dj998kfQdTHBkW8CxTZ1PdC9kk21doFMQo%2BMdrPBU D2QjzKyw4ExUk21pm8NQJMO6Od9wvMCTCdnsgCBxEEnp%2FPTN AS%2F5iZzgMPDwGWlsYEyTrwoQ%3D%3D) and this (http://www.classiccarshop.co.uk/images/Jaguar%20XJS%20HE%20V12%20met%20red%20engine.jpg) but I also found this (http://www.jagclub.net/images/S3%20engine.jpg) where you can see the distributor sitting in there.

Maybe something here (http://jaguar.professional.org/index.php) or here (http://www.jagweb.com/aj6eng/v12-engine/index.php) ?

I really don't know much about the Jaggy TWE HE, but I am wondering if in fact it didn't use the distributorless version of the engine (even though Hassa put one in there).

A quick google search showed that later versions of the HE engine were in fact distributorless and at the same time none of the TWR photos I could find showed that pretty big dissie that's in the kit... what do you think?

Well, thanks for the quick info....I found most of those photos, too.
Just wanted to make sure - and the first pic you posted shows what I wanted to know: the location of the spark plugs.

I don't know about the distributorless version. I'll worry about that once I'm building the racecar.

Thanks again. I appreciate it.

Thank you very much!!!

No problem - I'm glad if it helped.

(also, I have the XJ-S Cabrio in my stash, so I was actually quite interested in the answer myself :evillol:)
