94 LHS: Won't idle, misses like crazy

I'm pretty puzzled by this problem. Car suddenly died last weekend, will crank fine, but will only run if you give it a bit of throttle. And even then it isn't a smooth idle by any means. It has a flashing cruise control light whenever it is running, occasionally flashing check engine light also. Seems to be running very rich; you can smell gas and if you give it more air (by taking out the IAC) it'll run right around 3k rpm. Checked the cat and it isn't plugged. Changed plugs and wires (I knew it needed it anyways.) Did the key diagnostic (key off/on 3x) and got codes 12 and 24 (and 55 of course.) Code 12 is disconnected battery and 24 is TPS over 4.96V. Checked TPS, it was getting 4.97, disconnected battery, didn't get it again. Disconnected EGR and wasn't any different. Changed IAC and MAP (out of desperation) with no effect. Cam and crank both have good source and ground (no oscilloscope to check signal.) The last thing I can think of is a wiring issue, but I have no idea where to start. I'm lost. If anyone can help me out, it'll be extremely appreciated.

If your getting a TPS code then chances are the TPS is bad.

Thanks for the tip, but I finally fixed the problem. Turns out that the timing had jumped. I think a combination of a leaking water pump and a past due timing belt caused the problem. Replaced the belt and water pump and it ran great. Thanks again.
