So, here it is, finally finished, my second model for 2007.
I know, I'm a slow modeler :iceslolan

Kit: 1/24 1303S convertible from Imaļ
Exterior:
- handles and trims shaved
- CF bumpers (ScaleMotorSport decal)
- personalised plates OGM-959, OGM for Organism Genetically Modified and 959 for the integrated interior, with PE plate holder. Here in Belgium, plates on oldtimers begin with O.
- 1303 logo realised with 2 x 1300 script from the Tamiya beetle, hood emblem too.
- windscreen and side windows done with thin clear plastic
- light housing from the Tamiya GT2 Taisan
- paint -> undercoat of Gun metal and final coat of Metalic Green
Interior:
- Tamiya Porsche 959 interior reworked to be adapted.
Chassis:
- rims from the Tamiya 911 and drilled discs fomr Tamiya GT2 Taisan
- exhaust reworked.

There are some flaws not visible on the pictures, bu I know them: position of front seats and headlight ring (of very bad quality and way too small for the fenders) but I'll live with it. I know the pics are a bit dark but it's rainy today, I'll try to take better ones when sun will shine again.

I hope you appreciate it, please leave your comments!!!

Great build, nicely executed and clean. I would have never thought the Porsche wheels would look that good. CF bumpers are a great addition.

I especially like the rearview mirrors.....but not the lights. They seem to be out of shape and too big.

Thanks guys :)

I know the front ligths are ugly, I already said it in my description, but I'm not equiped to machine them from a plastic rod or whatever. I already reworked them because they were not accurate with a 1303, but they are still too small , I'll live with it. Maybe, one day, I'll have the necessary tools to make my own parts.

Which Tamiya kit did the wheels come from?

Nice Build!

I like your highlighting on the convertible cover, and interior looks awesome.
The headlight rims don't look so bad to me, though.

Good Job!

I love this car. I like everything about it. Nothing goes better with a Bug than Porsche rims. Those turbo twists look tight. I like the flat black and carbon instead of chrome. Quality work.

Very cool, and captures the style brilliantly! Until I saw this, I didn't realise that there were any kits of late model Beetles.

Thanks.

If you wanna know what are the aircooled models ever produced or still in production, visit my blog. I regularly post pictures of aircooled models with some explanations, they are all tagged with 'vwmodels'.

Click on this logo and it will bring you to the list:

They are not all listed, it makes me thing that I should post new one soon.
