Is there a problem with slight leak from water pump weephole??

Define "slight" please.

I have read that a slight weep of fluid after initial installation that dries up quickly is acceptable and normal when a new water pump is installed. However, if the pump has been in service for a long time and then starts to weep coolant, causing puddles under the engine, then it is time to replace the pump.
