Alright I got a question something a newbie would ask but I don't know enough about preludes. I have a 96 integra GSR and am looking at selling it and buying a 98 prelude. I have i/h/e on my gsr and say the prelude has the same mods and both have good drivers behind the wheel ,now I know some of the specs on the preludes but not all of them so maybe weight is a factor etc. but in a race which car would win?

I don't know man, I don't know the weight differences between the two, but I do know 97+ Ludes weigh a shitload. I got a 4th Gen Civic hatch with a d15 and a wasted my friends 97 lude, but he also had an exhaust problem at the time, but if he didn't I think my lil car could keep up. This is all just my opinion, no facts really behind it, so no offense to any of the prelude people in this forum.

There is no way that a nearly stock Civic DX with just a shitty exhaust and some ignition upgrades (which don´t do anything for your performance) will smoke a 5th gen Prelude with manual tranny. ;)

yeah, he is a newbie driver, doesn't know how to take off without roasting the tires, I can do it easy. The ignigtion upgrades do help out a lot, makes it respond a lot quicker than it used to. Hopefully in a year or so it won't be a stock DX anymore and have a B18C1 sitting in it.

coupe 97 to 2001 Curb Weight, lbs. 2954 in 97 curb weight rose 145 pounds, GSR Curb Weight, lbs. 2529, I'd keep the b18c if I were you unless you've been experienceing problems, preludes look tight and there motor specs are higher than the gsr but weight always factors in. No disrespect to the rest of the prelude boys in here. I love all the h22's.
