81 Malibu... Come On Down!!!

Hey Everyone. So Truth Is, Ive Never Been A Big Forum Chatter... But Looks Like I Had No Where To Turn, And What Better Place To Be Then A Place Where Everyone In The World Can Meet Up And Talk About One Topic.

Anyways, Ill Just Get Right To It. I Have A 98 Mustang Cobra, Awsome Car, But Now I Bought Myself A 81 Chevy Malibu. And I Wanna Go From Rags To Riches With This Car, Slowly, But Surely. Kinda Making A Hobby Out Of It. Heres The Problem.... Im Having One Hell Of A Time Finding Any Parts For This Car. I Mean Even Something Simple As Clear Side Lights. I Got Brand New Clear Head Lamps, But Those Bright Small Yellow Ones That Sit Beside It, I Cant Stand Them. I Wanna Get Clear Ones... Anyone Have A Damn Clue Where I Can Buy Those?? I Have A Few More Questions.. But Lets Start With Something Simple... Never Really Used A Forum, So Just Throwing That Out There In Hopes Of Gettin A Response Back Soon. Thanks Alot!!!

I had an 81 4 door classic. It was a pile of junk. Ive had a few 78s and 79s and even a wagon and they were all ok cars. The 81 was just a piece. It was very poorly put together. and slow as shit. I hated it right up until the day that the cam went flat. I wouldnt bother modding an 81 4 door. A wagon. cool, but not the sedan. Im guessing V6, metric tranny, Ugh.

Well actually, your right about it being not that fast. lol. honestly, i already have the fast car in my life. my Cobra has 575 hp, and im more then happy with it. Im actually just lookin for an old box style car to kinda ride slow in. for the days that im kinda just feeling laid back. thats why i got it. i bought it for 2500$ cnd. and theres not a spec of rust, mint interior, only 80 000 km. never winter driven, belongs to a 90 year old women who lives near me. it goes to the grocery store and back home. lol
And actually its a V8 4.4L not the v6 model. basically the car is so clean, i just wanna put a pair of rims on it, tints, clear out the lights, and a sound system. Im not lookin for performance on this one.

SO AS I SAID IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN FIND AFTERMARKET PARTS FOR THIS CAR, ID REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT. im stuck and i cant find anything for it.... please any info at all would help.

Looks like there really isnt that many people who know anything about the old malibus.... im starting to feel helpless... 81 malibu lovers? can any of you hear me? haha

I dont know if your still here, but as far as the corner lights, you can switch to 78 lenses and that makes it better but its still a little orange in it, other than that you can switch to the four headlight system from 82-87 and that eliminates the side markers all together, might want to check into your laws regarding side markers though.
