Higher Idle in park but no where else

I replaced a vacuum hose because of cracks, it came from the upper manifold to a 3 way clip i don't know exactly. Ever since that my park idle is at 1500 and normally for me it was around 1000 rpms. Before the hose i just put in a pcv valve. im almost due for an oil change. I also have a whistling coming from the engine compartment. could this be doing anything with the rpms.

its a 1995 bonneville se with 145,000 miles on it

Look for vacuum leaks anywhere around the engine for starters especially the upper intake.

If your car has the Vin-K 3800 (the 8th digit from the left), check to be sure you put both o-rings back on the pcv valve/housing. There is a big orange one around the top of the housing cover, and small black one around the PCV itself. The one on the PCV is easy to miss, as it's black and the old valve is usually covered with oil and black soot. If either of these are missing, it will cause a vacuum leak, which would cause both the high idle and whistling noise.

Have you scan it?

no i havn't scanned it, im a high school student who has no money and not a scan tool.

Did you double check PCV, IF GROMMETS ARENT RIGHT IT WILL WHISTLE.

will check when i get home from school before i go to work today. it whistled before i replaced the pcv valve also, i'll check though

so i checked my pcv valve and im pissing the black oring where do i go to get it.

Dealer or parts store even try HELP section like at canadian tire.I dont know if you are in Canada

i went to menards to get an o-ring and put it on it fits but i think i still hear the whistle maybe im just jumpy yet to get the problem fixed or hearing things.
