I am quite shocked on the large amount of hate on front wheel drive drifting.. all these (drifters) dont understand the consept of DRIFTING... a drift is a controled loss of traction in a paticullar motion.. there is no fine definition of drifting just the fact of becomeing side ways in a corner and controling it even if u dont control it u still drifted.. the distance of the drift and the control of the drift is all based on skill not on fwd or rwd... rwd is just easier so i beleave the true talint lays in fwd drifter... my mom can drift a rear wheel drive mustang...where is the talint there?.....and i dont mean to upset anyone im just speaking my mind..

well other than misunderstanding the SPORT of drifting ur right. It is possible to drift a fwd but the sport of it bases certain points on the ability to link multiple drifts which isnt really possible in front wheel drive and i bet ur mom isnt going to link more than 3 or 4 corners ina drift at 60mph. well i rephrase that idk if she could b/c i have met some moms that could tear shit up behind a wheel. if u want to see true driving talent take the worst nose heavy rear drive vehicle and make someone drift it. In my experience a front wheel drive is harder to drift not b/c it takes more talent but it takes less really instead of clutch kicking or feinting with gobs of throttle its generally required to drive in deep and in mid feint grab for that e brake like theres no tomorrow and let it drag all while hoping ur front tires are diggin enogh to keep ya moving. To me that takes no skill i know people that shouldnt have a drivers liscense let alone the keys to a car that can do this b/c throttle control and counter steering arent involved neither is using any sort or heel toe or any other real driveing techniques
