Lug Nuts

I own a 2004 X-type. I have 2 sets of tires - winter and summer. Twice a year, I fight to get the lug nuts removed. Eventually the chrome caps get twisted off or stuck in my lug wrench.
To-date I have broken, the jag lug wrench, 4 impact sockets, and a 1/2 drive breaker bar. twice I've taken the car to a tire company to have the lug nuts removed. Once they told me, the only way to get them off was with a torch. (when replacing lug nuts, I only use a tire iron and not an impact wrench. as far as my jag dealer, who knows)
For me, it would be literally impossible to change a tire on my jaguar out on the road. My dealer looks at me like I'm nuts when I bring up the issue. they have replaced 6 lug nuts without understanding the problem. My next move is to replace all of the lugs.
Has anyone had a similar experience??

I've on my second X and never had this problem. The lug nuts are only supposed to be torqued to 76 ft-lbs. Sounds like someone has been running yours on with an airgun. I use a Proto 1/2 drive torque wrench to set mine. An idiot at a Chrysler dealer did the airgun thing to my Sebring and warped the hell out of my front rotors. I made the dealer pay to have someone else fix the front brakes.
