Hood vibration help....PLEASE!

I have a 1996 eclipse gst with a little problem. I have solid motor mounts. They are prothane motor mounts that make a lot of vibration. Here is the problem I need some help with. Since there is an excessive amount of vibration due to the mounts, my hood vibrates a lot!! Is there a way to deaden the vibration on the hood by adding something (ie: rubber in between the latch and hood insert...)? It is to the point that I can hear the hood vibrating from inside the car while idling.

Any ideas?

Let me know

Thanks
Ben

I've got that all the time.

-First, adjust the little rubber stoppers on the front of the car above the headlights. Those IIRC are for the most part, unscrewed as far out as they can go.
-I then went to Ace Hardware, and bought some little rubber feet with double sided tape on them. They're actually kinda like foam almost. I put those along the top, close to the windsheild, so that the top of the hood, is now solid with the plastic part in front of the windsheild. Mine doesn't rattle at all now.
And yes, I do have the engine mounts also.

I'm actually in the process of rattle-proofing my car... calling it Operation Rattler. Sexy name IMO.

Used something like this http://www.caddetails.com/mostdependable/PartsPics/draingasket.jpg

Just used some silicone rubber sealant and glued it to the other rubber pieces...works perfectly...no more rattle!
