What kind of Eclipse to buy¿

hey i need to know what kind of Eclipse i need to buy. im looking 95-99 and less then $5,000, yes cheap but thats all i can get right now. i want to be able to upgrade the engine a little but wont be racing it....so just so its not some peice of shit that can beat anyone. its mainly going to be show, body kit, exhaust, system, rims, etc. thanks:confused:

You can get and early 2g (95 or 96) base model RS or GS for about that if they have high mileage, mabey a turbo if youre lucky. But you probably won't be able to find a 97-99 for five grand if its in decent shape. Good luck with it.

Dude, try www.ebay.com I see cheap DSMs on there all the time. Sorry, I know it's an old post but whatever.
I know this one time I saw a mint 93' Formula for only 3 grand on there. It's not an DSM but it's a good example of how cheap you can pick up stuff there.
