i was wondering what some of you use with the qr25 i was going to get an intake and it was on back order and now they are unsure if they are even going to get more. it was an off brand one cuz its like half the price but has no CARB sticker. i was thinking about the aem one but agian its over double the cost and they both have the same roughting and connections for vacume and stuff. any input will be apreciated

depends on how tough your emissions laws are, and how much you care about following them. if you dont care, use an offbrand tube with a good filter. JWT's popcharger, and the apex'i power filter are both very good.

ok well i live in cali so the laws are just about the strictist. now does the short ram work better or will a full length cold air work better

cold air will get you a bit more overall hp, but a normal intake will get you a bit better throttle response.

^^^idk about that, but all i have is a butt dyno. my cai gives me more midrange hp and tq it seems, as the WAI will give you more top end. also, with the regualar WAI, it seems that it loses a tad of low end grunt. but i also have a different engine so, it may be different with the spec's

supposedly its the other way around, idk with my CAI it seems like it kind of hestitates if you try and launch from like 1500 or so but when it climbs over 4k it starts growling and screaming and all kinds of shit

the longer the tubing the longer it takes the air to enter the engine. simple as that.
