hi all,

i have a badger anthem155. I want to buy a compressor, but i was told by a shop that i MUST buy a badger compressor for my badger airbrush.

How true is this? I am in Singapore and badger products are not readily available in Singapore.

All inputs appreciated

Hey i got an Anthem too, it's great for low mid price range airbrush. I use a badger compressor with it. No, you don't need a Badger compressor, as long as you can find a compressor with the same thread screw for the hose or adapter/regulator onto the airbrush and they fit well, its fine. BTW slap or punch (slap just sounds funny  ) the shop guy who told you that. With another compressor, just make sure pressure runs that model painting range 10-20 psi (that's just a basic range).

thank fcw1, it'll be better if anyone can tell me the compressor model they are using with their badger airbrush. It serves as a confirmation or green light that that particular model works for badger airbrush. Dont want to be deceived by sellers...

yeah i should really punch that particular seller...luckily i did not fall into her trap..

It doesn't have to be a Badger compressor. Any compressor that has a 1/4" outlet (which is standard) will do. I also use a Badger 155 Anthem and I bought my compressor from the local hardware store. It is not that quiet but for less than 100$ CDN it is perfect. If you have the small vynil hoses that come with some Badger models (1/8"), you will need an adaptor available from any Badger retailler.

I am also using the same airbrush.
Bought my compressor at the hobby shop located at Tiong Bahru Shopping Center, 5th Floor. They have a wide range.

I paid about S$300 for a made in taiwan compressor along with a air hose
adaptor for the airbrush.

Alternatively, you can check out M workshop at Sunshine Plaza, Prisep St.

If in doubt, you could always bring the airbrush with you during your purchase. It shouldn't be too much trouble.

Hahhaa... it was M shop that i enquired about a compressor and a lady apparently looking after the shop then, told me that i need a badger compressor for a badger airbrush. She even called another person to ask about adaptors.

I walked out confused. lol
