i have got a 92 civic si hb. i drove it 2 nights ago to some store, it was running great, upon trying to leave to go home, the car wouldnt start, after some messing around my freind and i found out the fuel pump wasnt kicking on and so i wasnt getting any fuel. well i had it towed to my freinds house and we did alittle diagnostics on it and jumped the main relay located just above the fuse panel under the stering wheel. once we jumped it with a paper clip (in the ghettooooo:smoka: ) we heard the fuel pump kick on put it wouldnt kick off which i am guesing is due to having a constant power surge since the paper clip got hot as $hit. ok so.. we think it is the main relay only the local stores like advance and autozone only cary these for civics up to a 90. is this part going to be a dealership only kinda of thing and do anyone thing this will work since i cant return it after i buy it, any help would be great! thanks

pop the top off the relay, that will expose the circuit board.Examine each of the solder points on the back of it with a magnifying glass if any of them have a little round crack around them that you can see they may lose connection when it heats up, even a little break is enough to lose contact.Just heat it up with a solder gun and add a lil solder if needed. That should fix the old realy without having to buy a new one... hope this helps ya

im pretty sure thats like a 65amp fuse right? well you can in fact go buy it at autozone but its a little too large, u can cut a lil bit of the ends off each end of the metal clips on the fuse and dril little holes and it will work like new, i had to do the same exact thing but im not down for payin for dealership prices... The same fuse for an older model should be a little longer, just cut it...
